Website Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2026
This policy explains how Progressive Counseling Services (PCS) handles information connected to pcstherapy.org and the tools we use to communicate with you. It is separate from the informed-consent documents and the HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices you receive if you become a client, which govern your clinical records.
Information We Collect
When you visit the website. Our website is hosted by Squarespace. Like most websites, Squarespace may automatically collect basic technical information, such as your browser type, device, the pages you visit and the site that referred you, and may use cookies to keep the site working and to measure traffic. You can manage non-essential cookies through the cookie banner on this site and through your browser settings.
When you contact us. If you submit a form on this website, call or text us, or email us, we receive the information you choose to share, such as your name, email address, phone number and message.
When you book. Consultations and appointments are scheduled through Jane, our practice-management platform. When you book through Jane, the information you enter is collected through Jane on our behalf.
Tools We Use
We use a small number of outside services to run the practice. Each one handles information under its own terms and privacy policy.
Squarespace: website hosting, website forms and site traffic statistics.
Jane: online scheduling, the client portal and practice records.
Spruce: phone calls and text messages with the practice.
Google Workspace: email, including contact@pcstherapy.org.
Google reCAPTCHA: We use Google reCAPTCHA to help protect website forms from spam and abuse. When you use a form, this service may process device and browser information for security purposes.
Google Fonts: Some pages load fonts from Google's servers. Google's servers receive your IP address and basic browser information when delivering these fonts.
How We Use Information
We use the information you share to respond to your questions, schedule consultations and appointments, provide services, and run and improve this website. We do not sell your personal information.
Please Keep Website Messages Brief
Website forms and regular email are not the right place for detailed health information or anything urgent. Please share only what we need to get back to you. Once you become a client, we will talk through how to communicate with us.
Not for Emergencies
PCS does not provide emergency or crisis services, and messages sent through this website, by email or by text may not be seen right away. If you are in crisis, call or text 988. If you are in immediate danger, call 911. More options are on our Crisis Resources page.
Your Choices
You can ask us what information we have from your website inquiries, or ask us to correct or delete it, by contacting us using the details below. Some information may need to be kept to meet professional and legal record-keeping requirements.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
